Although there are already Skype, FaceTime, Facebook and WhatsApp, Amazon decided to launch Chime, a new meeting video platform designed specifically for businesses.
Chime has been mainly designed for companies that need to organize remote meetings with colleagues or with clients and other companies. Available for iOS, Mac, Windows and Android, this application is the immediacy and ease of use of its strengths. A visual roster showing who joined the meeting and who is late, while a special function allows you to mute the background noise. All chats are synchronized between devices where the app is installed with the same account, you can also switch from one device to another seamlessly, always among the compatible devices, while you are in a video chat.
The basic service is free, but allows you to make video calls only between two people. The intermediate level, always limited to two people but with the possibility to share your screen and use the corporate directory, costs € 2.50 per month, while the Pro plan from 15 €, up to 100 people, can be tried free for 30 days. This plan also allows you to schedule meetings, record audio and video session and connect to the existing video conferencing systems.
Amazon ensures that audio and video are in high definition, thanks to specific servers.
