In recent years companies have gone from wondering what is cloud computing, to ask, rather, what and how they can be beneficial in the transition to cloud-based projects. The architect cloud arises in this context: it is a very specialized professional, who has the specific purpose to understand how cloud computing can come into a company, how it can change the status quo of existing IT resources and which can offer added value to the business. It is in effect a facilitator of the complex digital transformation process, that businesses are experiencing.
