Microsoft has updated the OneDrive Business roadmap, the version of its cloud storage service designed for the working environment. In the course of 2017 will come some new very interesting, first of all the so-called differential synchronization. It is a term a bit 'difficult to express a simple concept: being synchronized will not load the entire document or file, but only the part that has been modified. This will ensure a considerable saving of bandwidth and reduced sync times.
The roadmap, from a slide that we show below, offers other interesting points, including the arrival of uploads and automatic tagging of camera pictures (present on the consumer version). Also with regard to photos, will also come improvements in text recognition technology (OCR) for the pictures, optimize photos of whiteboards and ability to run the mobile app scans. As for the timing, it is called the first two quarters of 2017.
