For several weeks in the Microsoft environment you hear a lot about Windows Cloud. Windows 10 Cloud should be a "special" version of Windows 10 for devices with less powerful hardware or ARM-based platform.
It could be so similar to Windows RT, represent an attempt by Microsoft to enter into direct competition with the Chromebook devices that use the operating system to Google's cloud.
Windows 10 Cloud
This new version of the Microsoft operating system brings with it many of the innovations that we will see in the new update Creators Windows 10 Update, but it works completely differentlyThe thing is once you realize that does not support the traditional desktop applications. If you try to install any fact "Win32" application (for instance) the message
"The app you're trying to run is not designed for this version of Windows" (the application you are trying to run has not been designed for windows)
followed by
"This version of Windows was made to help protect you and your device by Exclusively running Windows Store apps" (This version of Windows has been done to help protect you and your device by running only Windows Store applications)
The reason could be that you want to protect users and devices from malicious programs. In the current version, however, you can not install different apps taken from the store.
Specifically it is of all those apps that have been converted from Win32 desktop versions. Still we do not know what the real intentions of Microsoft for this special version of its operating system.
In the settings, in fact, it is the new section Apps from which is available the option to enable installation from any source. At the time, while selecting it, it was not possible to install the desktop app.
It should however be noted that we are dealing with a pre-release of Windows 10 Cloud and many things could change.
